Answers & Tips
For grown-ups β the mystery animals and bonus answers.
β Puzzle 1: a STARFISH β 5 arms; two starfish = 10 arms (sneaky doubling practice!).
π Puzzle 2: a FISH β any water answer is fine; chat about ponds vs rivers vs sea.
π¦ Puzzle 3: a DUCK β baby: duckling; sound: quack! (And yes β peas and oats are better for ducks than bread.)
π¦ Puzzle 4: a BUTTERFLY β counting in 2s to 40; celebrate however high they count beyond!
π‘ Tip: for younger children, pre-trace the first three connections together, then hand over the pencil. For extra challenge, time a second attempt on a fresh print β dot-to-dots are wonderful repeat practice.
