How to Play
🎯 Animal Bingo (2–4 players + a caller)
Each player takes a board. The caller shuffles the calling cards and reveals one at a time, naming it aloud. Cover matches with counters. First full board shouts BINGO! Easier: caller shows the picture. Harder: caller describes it without naming ("I have a long neck…").
🎲 Roll & Read (2–4 players)
Counters on START. Roll the dice, move, and READ the word you land on — sound it out: c-a-t, cat! Can't read it? A friend helps, and you stay put this turn. First to the trophy wins. Easier: adult reads first, child repeats. Harder: put the word in a sentence too.
🃏 I Have… Who Has? (3+ players or whole class)
Deal ALL cards out. The player with the START card reads it aloud. Whoever holds the answer jumps in: "I HAVE the dog! Who has the fish?" — and so on around the loop until it comes back to the start. Time yourselves and beat your record next round!
🧠 Memory Pairs (1–4 players)
Cut out all cards, shuffle, lay face-down in a grid. Take turns flipping TWO cards — a picture and its word make a pair! Keep pairs you find; most pairs wins. Easier: fewer pairs, face-up matching first.
💚 Why games work
Repetition without boredom. A child will read "cat" forty times to win a race — and zero times on a flashcard. Lose enthusiastically and model good losing; it's secretly an emotional-control lesson too (see the Brain Coach pack!).
