πŸ¦‰ There is only ONE you β€” and some brilliant things about you are invisible unless you share them. Write or draw in each box. There are no wrong answers.

πŸ’– Things I really love

…and could talk about all day

😬 Things I find tricky

…even when I'm trying my hardest

πŸ’š When I'm upset, it helps if you…

e.g. give me space, speak quietly, sit with me

🚫 Please don't…

…because it makes things harder for me

🌟 Things I'm proud of

big or small β€” they all count

🎁 Something surprising about me

most people don't know this!

How to Use This Set

πŸ’‘ The idea

Many children β€” especially neurodivergent children β€” carry around important truths about themselves that adults never hear: what overwhelms them, what calms them, what they're quietly proud of. This set gives those truths somewhere to go, in the child's own words, before a crisis rather than during one.

πŸ—£οΈ Doing it together

Go slowly β€” one page per sitting is plenty. Scribe for the child if writing is a barrier, using THEIR words, not your summary. Resist correcting answers ("you don't really hate assemblies!") β€” the sheet only works if it stays honest. Drawing counts as answering.

πŸ“Œ The one-page profile

Page 4 is the payoff: a single sheet that travels with the child to new classes, clubs and carers. Refresh it each school year β€” answers change as children grow. Laminate a copy for the school bag.

πŸ’š For therapists & SENCOs

Pages 2 and 3 map neatly onto sensory profiles and pupil-passport formats. The "Please don't…" box often surfaces the most useful information in the whole set β€” give it extra talk time. Pair with the PawSteps Calm-Down Cards for the strategies the child names on page 3.

✨ Golden rule

This is the child's document, not an assessment. They choose what goes in, and they choose who sees it. That ownership is what makes it powerful.
