Brave Enough to Be Good Enough
Specific Challenges ยท Perfectionism ยท Gentle support
Loosen the grip of "it has to be perfect," make friends with mistakes, and treat yourself with the kindness you'd give a friend.

Trying Hard vs. Perfect
Wanting to do well is a lovely thing. Perfectionism is different โ it's when nothing ever feels good enough, mistakes feel scary, and you're really hard on yourself. That's exhausting, and it's not your fault. You can care about your work and be kind to yourself. Good enough is genuinely good enough. ๐ฑ
One place perfectionism shows up for me:

Talk to Yourself Like a Friend
๐ฆ Elvis: "You'd never speak to a friend the way perfectionism speaks to you." Choose a kinder line.
I'm allowed to be a learner
Done is better than perfect
One mistake isn't the whole story
I did my best today

Brave "Imperfect" Experiment
๐ฆ Rosie: "Try doing one thing 'good enough' on purpose โ and notice the world keeps turning."
My tiny experiment:
What actually happened / how I felt after:
๐ For grown-ups: If perfectionism is causing a lot of anxiety, avoidance, procrastination, low mood, or links to worries about food, self-worth or self-criticism, it's worth talking to your GP or a school counsellor. CBT and self-compassion approaches help. Praising effort and modelling "good enough" at home makes a big difference.
