Pets on the Green Ltd is a licensed, insured, welfare-led provider delivering structured Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI), therapeutic education and SEND-informed support for children and young people. We work with those who have SEND, autism and neurodivergence, SEMH needs, anxiety and trauma-related difficulties, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), and communication and regulation needs.

- Diploma in Veterinary Medicine — online CPD (Alison)
- Animal-Assisted Therapy Practitioner — BSY Level 3 (QLS-accredited); further training with ACS Distance Education, Australia (in progress)
- Level 1 Certificate in Land-Based Studies — safe working, animal care, handling, restraint & accommodation (Nescot)

We maintain a robust safeguarding culture. All adults working with children are DBS checked, suitability screened, complete a safeguarding induction, work under supervision and follow a strict code of conduct.
Safeguarding concerns override confidentiality and are escalated without delay.

Health & safety governance
- Written risk assessments for all activities — reviewed termly, updated after incidents, and personalised for individual SEND needs.
- Premises safety — supervised access and egress, secure boundaries, trip-hazard checks, a low-arousal sensory environment and separate food-prep areas.
- Equipment safety — regular inspections, PAT testing, age-appropriate materials and PPE where required.
- Emergency procedures & first aid in place.
- Fire evacuation plan with supported evacuation for children with additional needs.
Educational & therapeutic framework
Sessions align with EHCP Section F and SEND best practice, and are predictable, low-arousal and individualised.
