3 · Tips that lift reply rates
Who to send to: the SENCO first, then the wellbeing/pastoral lead, deputy head (pastoral) or DSL.
When: Tuesday to Thursday mornings, term-time, avoiding the first and last week of term.
Personalise line one: name the school, a recent SEND newsletter, or their last Ofsted focus — anything that shows it isn't a blast.
One ask per email. Short beats polished. Lower-case subject lines can feel more like a real person.
Make it easy to say yes: the offer is low-cost, low-effort, and reversible — say so every time.
Keep claims honest and current — the impact-report and framework wording should be reviewed by a SENCO or specialist before you lean on it in writing. PawSteps is a self-help and educational resource, not a clinical service. Part of the WeaveONE family.
