PawSteps — School Outreach Kit

Cold-email sequence and social posts to land pilots with SENCOs and school leaders.

How to use this. Replace the [brackets], keep it short and human, and make the first line specific to their school. The whole aim is one thing — get them into the demo. Space the emails 3–5 working days apart and stop as soon as they reply.

Subject: A safe wellbeing activity for your SEND pupils — while they wait

Hi [Name], Quick one. With CAMHS waits as long as they are, a lot of the children on your SEND register have little structured to do while they wait for support. PawSteps is a gentle, animal-based wellbeing journey a TA or teacher can start with a child today — a daily check-in and calming activities — and it turns that everyday use into a one-click Ofsted / EYFS-PSED / SEND impact report. Would you be open to a 15-minute look? There's a free demo you can click through with no sign-up, and a 3-day free trial if you want to try it with a class. Happy to send a two-minute walkthrough. Best, [Your name]

Subject: The evidence bit, done for you

Hi [Name], Following up with the part SENCOs tend to like most: PawSteps turns pupils' wellbeing check-ins and activities into a printable impact report mapped to Ofsted, EYFS-PSED and the SEND Code of Practice (assess–plan–do–review). It's evidence you already have to produce, generated automatically. There's also a Safe & Ready library (risk assessments, consent letters) and curriculum-linked animal lessons from EYFS to KS4. Still happy to set up a pilot for [School] — shall I send the link? [Your name]

Subject: A 2-minute look for [School]?

Hi [Name], I know your inbox is brutal, so I'll keep it to one link: a free demo of PawSteps you can click through right now — no sign-up, no card. If it looks useful, there's a 3-day free trial. If it's useful, you keep it; if not, no obligation. Worst case, you get some ready-made wellbeing and curriculum resources for a term. Would 15 minutes next week suit for a quick look? [Your name]

Subject: Should I close this off?

Hi [Name], I don't want to keep landing in your inbox. If the timing's wrong, just say and I'll leave it there — or if you'd like me to circle back next term, I'm glad to. Either way, thank you for the work you do for these children. [Your name]

2 · LinkedIn / social post pack

Post one or two a week. Lead with the pain, keep it human, one hashtag cluster. Comment/DM is the call to action.

Post 1 — The CAMHS wait

A child referred to CAMHS today could be waiting months for support. Their family — and their school — are often left with nothing structured to do in the meantime. That gap is where too many children slip. We built PawSteps to be the bridge: a safe, guided, animal-based wellbeing journey a parent or TA can start today. Not a replacement for therapy — a steadying hand while you wait. 🐾 #SEND #MentalHealth #Education #Wellbeing

Post 2 — Welfare-honest

Most pet advice online tells people what they want to hear, so they'll buy the animal. We do the opposite. A goldfish isn't a bowl fish. A hamster needs far more than that starter cage. We say so — even when it costs us the sale. Turns out honesty builds more trust than a sale ever could. 🐾 #AnimalWelfare #Pets #Education

Post 3 — Evidence, for schools

SENCOs: you already have to evidence wellbeing and SEND provision. What if the everyday activity your pupils do created that evidence for you — a one-click report mapped to Ofsted, EYFS-PSED and the SEND Code of Practice? That's the idea behind PawSteps. Sell the dashboard, not the worksheet. #SEND #Ofsted #EdTech #SENCO

Post 4 — Pilot call-to-action

We're looking for a handful of schools to pilot PawSteps for a term at no cost. Animal-based wellbeing + curriculum lessons (EYFS–KS4) + automatic SEND/Ofsted evidence, in one place. You get the full platform and we help you capture the outcome data. Comment 'pilot' or drop me a DM. 🐾 #SEND #Education #Wellbeing #Pilot

3 · Tips that lift reply rates

Keep claims honest and current — the impact-report and framework wording should be reviewed by a SENCO or specialist before you lean on it in writing. PawSteps is a self-help and educational resource, not a clinical service. Part of the WeaveONE family.
