Some animals live with us. Some belong in the wild.
A pet is an animal we can care for safely at home, that is happy living with people — like a dog, a cat, a rabbit or a guinea pig.
Wild animals like foxes, owls and hedgehogs need lots of space and their own wild food. They would not be happy or safe living in a house. The kindest thing is to watch and enjoy wild animals from a distance, and let them live free.
