Why "warm" and "cool"? Because of what those colours are in the real world. Red, orange and
yellow are fire and sunlight. Blue and purple are water, shadow and night. Your brain learnt the
connection long before anyone taught you the words — which is exactly why an artist can make
you feel hot or cold using nothing but paint.
