🐻 Animal-inspired PE

Try each animal move for 30 seconds β€” tick each one off as you go!

🐻Bear crawl β€” hands and feet on the floor, bottom up, walk forwards.
πŸ¦€Crab walk β€” sit, hands behind you, lift your bottom and walk on hands and feet.
🐸Frog jumps β€” squat low, jump up high, land softly back in a squat.
🐍Snake slither β€” lie on your tummy and slither using your arms only, legs straight.
🐧Penguin waddle β€” feet together, arms flat at your sides, waddle along.
πŸ†Cheetah sprint β€” run on the spot as fast as you can for 20 seconds.
🦩Flamingo balance β€” stand on one leg with your arms out β€” how long can you hold it?
🦘Kangaroo hops β€” bounce on the spot with both feet together.

🧘 Animal yoga

Yoga is gentle stretching and breathing that calms your body β€” and loads of poses are named after animals! Hold each one for 5 slow breaths.

🐱Cat pose β€” on hands and knees, arch your back up like a stretchy cat.
πŸ„Cow pose β€” on hands and knees, drop your tummy and look up.
🐢Downward dog β€” feet flat, hands on the floor, bottom in the air.
🐍Cobra β€” lie on your tummy and push your upper body up with your hands.
🦁Lion β€” kneel, take a deep breath, then ROAR with your tongue out!

🐒Tortoise β€” sit cross-legged and fold forward with your arms tucked under.
