Try free first — you choose before you pay

Every subscription starts with a 3-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. If PawSteps isn't right for you, cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing at all — so there is nothing to refund.

Cancel yourself, any time — in one click

You never have to email anyone to stop paying. Open My Account → Manage or cancel my subscription and cancel instantly through Stripe's secure billing page. Cancelling stops all future charges straight away, and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

How your billing works — a real example

Say you start your free trial on 9 July:

• 9–12 July: your 3-day free trial — you pay nothing.
• 13 July: your first paid month begins and you're charged for that whole month.
• Your subscription then renews on the 13th of every month.

You can cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the month you've already paid for:

• Cancel on or before 12 August → you pay for that one month only, and access runs to 12 August.
• Cancel on 13 August or later → your next month has already renewed, so you're charged for that month too (and keep access to the end of it).

So the simple rule: cancel before your renewal date — the same date each month that you first started paying — to avoid the next charge.

Your legal cooling-off rights

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days to change your mind about a new subscription. Because your free trial lets you try everything before you pay a penny, and the premium content is digital content made available to you straight away, once your paid month has begun and you've accessed the content a refund may no longer apply. This never affects your legal rights if the service is faulty or not as described — we'll always put genuine billing problems right (see below).

When we do give a refund

Because of the free trial and one-click self-cancellation, refunds are rarely needed. We will always put right genuine billing problems, including:

• you were charged after cancelling;
• a duplicate or accidental charge;
• a technical fault meant you could not use what you paid for.

For any of these, email hello@pawsteps.co.uk with the email used at checkout. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method via Stripe, usually within 5–10 working days.
